Certificate Course in Lost Wax Investment Casting

INTRODUCTION

Casting is the process of making jewellery items in a mass quantity. This saves time, money minimizes the gold loss and also controls the weight factor of the jewellery.

It is the process in which the master model is created. Out of this a rubber mould is made, and then wax is injected into the mould. The injected wax gets sprued to the wax rod which transforms into the wax-tree. This wax tree is then covered with investment powder and baked for a few hours at different temperatures. This is then filled with molten metal with the help of vacuum suction & pressure.

This process of casting is greatly cost effective and consumes less time, where the purity of the metal is assured.
