INTRODUCTION TO BASIC JEWELLRY MAKING

INTRODUCTION

This is to beginner’s course in Jewellery Making. Participants will get a systematic introduction and hands on experience from alloying metals to the finished Jewellery Product.

Topics like alloying, preparing metal sheet & wire, the basic bench working skills sawing, sawing, filing, assembling, soldering and finishing will be introduced. Accuracy in planning and manufacturing is the main objective. It will help participants to begin their career as model makers and jewelers. Designers will benefit by understanding and exploring various design possibilities and manufacturing their own jewellery pieces. Craft person can diversify their careers into the jewellery field.

This course can be link in further courses in the field of jewellery design and manufacture.
